Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor request postponement from the TFF
The three major clubs competing in European competitions will apply to the TFF to postpone their Süper Lig matches in week 2.

Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş are preparing to apply to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the postponement of their Süper Lig matches, which are scheduled to take place right after their opening European fixtures. All three clubs will base their request on both the responsibility of representing the country in Europe and the short rest period between matches.

Fenerbahçe, who will face Olympique Lyon in the Champions League play-off round, and Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş, who will respectively meet Ferencváros and Kauno Žalgiris in the Europa League play-off round, will have to deal with the league schedule immediately after these crucial encounters. For this reason, all three teams want their home or away matches for that week to be postponed to a later date.

As part of the postponement request, the Süper Lig's 2nd week matches are on the agenda: Fenerbahçe against Konyaspor, Trabzonspor against Başakşehir, and Beşiktaş against Alanyaspor. The clubs will officially request the TFF to remove these matches from the schedule and move them to a later date, in order to avoid negatively affecting their performances in European competitions.
The TFF is expected to make the final decision on the matter. How the joint application of the three major clubs will be received by the federation is set to become clear in the coming days.
