Critical threshold crossed in Beşiktaş's Darwin Nunez transfer

Beşiktaş has made significant progress in the transfer negotiations it has been conducting to reinforce its attacking line. Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, has long been on the black-and-whites' agenda. At this point, Al Hilal's management has given the green light for the player to join Beşiktaş on a loan basis.

According to information shared by journalist Sacha Tavolieri, an agreement has been reached between Beşiktaş's management and Al Hilal regarding the loan of Nunez. This means one of the most critical obstacles in the transfer, which has been discussed for weeks, has now been overcome. It is stated that the 27-year-old forward, whose contract with Al Hilal runs until June 30, 2028, has recorded 9 goals and 5 assists in 24 matches for the Saudi club this season.

Nunez moved to Al Hilal from Liverpool in the summer of 2025 for a transfer fee of 53 million euros. The experienced player began his football career in Penarol's youth academy and later played for Almeria and Benfica. The striker, whose market value is listed at 20 million euros, has also made 41 appearances for the Uruguay national team, contributing 13 goals and 3 assists.
