Beşiktaş announces extraordinary election general assembly: Dates confirmed

Turkish football club Beşiktaş announced it will hold an extraordinary election general assembly following a board meeting held on 8 September 2026 at Tüpraş Stadium. The club's official statement outlined the reasoning behind the decision along with a detailed schedule for the upcoming meetings.

According to the announcement, the extraordinary election assembly will first convene on Sunday, 27 September. Should the required quorum not be reached that day, a second and final session will be held on Sunday, 4 October, regardless of the number of attendees.

During the same session, the club also set the date for its ordinary administrative and financial general assembly, covering the period from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026. That meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 26 September, with a second and conclusive session planned for Saturday, 3 October if quorum is not met initially. The club noted that further detailed information on both assemblies would be shared at a later date.

According to reports, incumbent president Serdal Adalı is preparing to run for re-election with some changes to his management list. While the official club statement makes no direct mention of candidacy plans, this information has circulated widely in Turkish sports media. Beşiktaş supporters are expected to closely follow the election process over the coming weeks.
