According to a report by A Spor correspondent Erdem Akbaş, Ederson's request has been granted. As a result, the veteran keeper will remain with his club instead of joining up with the national squad.
Following the end of the leave period Fenerbahçe granted its players during the international break, Ederson is set to resume training with the team at the Can Bartu Facilities in Samandıra. The decision is being seen as a sign of the goalkeeper's focus on his club responsibilities.
