Hot development in Fenerbahçe's Lukaku transfer: Aziz Yıldırım personally involved

Fenerbahçe, preparing for the new season with the goal of the championship, has taken action to add another center forward alongside Vedat Muriqi. In recent hours, the name of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, currently playing for Napoli, has gained prominence on the yellow-navy management's agenda.

According to reports, Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım personally spoke with Lukaku over the phone to speed up the transfer. Following this conversation, it is stated that the player gave positive signals about moving to Fenerbahçe. After the Belgian striker's approval, the yellow-navy management began official talks with Napoli.

Regarding the transfer fee, it is claimed that the parties have not yet reached an agreement. It is reported that Fenerbahçe submitted an offer of around 6 million euros to Napoli, but the Italian club rejected the offer as insufficient. According to developments, it is estimated that the transfer could be completed for a fee below 10 million euros.

Lukaku, whose contract at Napoli will expire in 2027, managed to score just 1 goal in 5 matches last season. The yellow-navy community hopes that the transfer of the experienced striker will add significant strength to the attacking line.
