Fenerbahçe Set to Loan Out Rodrigo Becao

Departures continue at Fenerbahçe even after the summer transfer window has closed. The Istanbul club is working through squad adjustments driven by foreign player regulations, and defender Rodrigo Becao appears close to becoming the latest player to leave. The club had already parted ways with 18 players this summer, six of them on loan, and Becao's departure would push that total to 19.

According to reports, Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Russian club Rodina to loan out the 29-year-old center-back for one season. Championat reports that the financial details have also been settled, with Rodina covering 600,000 euros of Becao's annual salary of 1.8 million euros, while Fenerbahçe will pay the remaining 1.2 million euros. The arrangement reflects the Turkish club's broader effort to ease its wage burden.

Becao joined Fenerbahçe from Udinese in the summer of 2023 and has since made 38 appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing one assist. The Brazilian defender had established himself as part of the team's backline, but new restrictions on foreign players have forced the club to rethink its squad composition.

Fenerbahçe was among the most talked-about clubs during the first Transfer and Registration Period, which concluded on September 4. The club's management strengthened the squad with five new signings for the 2026/27 season. With Becao's expected exit, Fenerbahçe now aims to balance its foreign player quota while also gaining some financial flexibility.
