The reason why Talisca was left out of Fenerbahçe's squad for the Konyaspor match has been explained

In the 2nd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, where Fenerbahçe will host TÜMOSAN Konyaspor at home, a notable development occurred. The Brazilian star of the yellow-navy blue team, Anderson Talisca, was not included in the squad for the match.

Head coach İsmail Kartal made a statement about this decision at the pre-match press conference without being asked a question on the matter. Kartal explained that the reason for leaving Talisca out of the squad was the 10+4 foreign player rule and the heavy workload that has accumulated on the player since the start of the season. The experienced manager stated that, considering the upcoming Lyon match, they preferred to rest Talisca.

A similar reasoning was highlighted in the club's official statement; it was announced that due to the presence of 11 foreign players in the squad, Talisca would not be able to play in this match as a result of the technical staff's planning. On the other hand, according to some claims, while no official transfer offer has reached the club or the player himself for the Brazilian player, it was alleged that there was verbal interest from clubs in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

Although Talisca will not play in the Konyaspor match, it was stated that he will be in the squad for the match against Lyon. The Fenerbahçe side emphasized that resting the player is a precaution regarding the intense fixture schedule continuing this season.
