Fenerbahçe Launch Move for Yasin Ayari Ahead of January

Fenerbahçe are working to reinforce their squad ahead of the January transfer window. The club is particularly seeking a two-way midfielder and has already accelerated its efforts on this front. High on the Yellow-and-Navy Blues' shortlist is 22-year-old Yasin Ayari, currently playing for Premier League side Brighton.

The Swedish international's contract with Brighton is set to expire at the end of the season. His market value is estimated at 40 million euros. According to reports, Fenerbahçe will begin official talks over a potential move for Ayari as early as January. Brighton are also said to be open to offers that month in order to secure a transfer fee before losing him for free.

Having joined Brighton in January 2023, Ayari has made 80 appearances for the club, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists. Capable of playing in both the number 8 and number 10 roles, the midfielder stands out for his two-footed ability. He was also linked with a move to Fenerbahçe during the summer transfer window. At Brighton, he has spent the last two seasons alongside former Fenerbahçe player Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

Born on October 6, 2003, Ayari also fits well within the Süper Lig's 10+4 rule, which allows clubs to register up to four foreign players under the age of 23.
