Fenerbahçe confirms Diego Carlos loan move to Parma
Fenerbahçe has officially announced that Brazilian centre-back Diego Carlos has been loaned out to Italian club Parma Calcio for one year.

Fenerbahçe has officially parted ways, on a temporary basis, with Brazilian defender Diego Carlos. According to a statement released by the club, the 33-year-old centre-back has been loaned to Serie A side Parma Calcio for one season. The Istanbul club shared the news publicly through an official announcement.

Diego Carlos joined Fenerbahçe from Aston Villa during the winter transfer window of the 2024-25 season for a fee of around 11.5 million euros. However, the Brazilian struggled to find consistent form during his time in Istanbul, largely due to recurring injury problems. The experienced defender managed just five official appearances for Fenerbahçe, falling well short of expectations.

This marks Diego Carlos's second spell in Italian football. He spent last season on loan at Como, where he made 31 appearances, a notably higher tally than his brief stint at Fenerbahçe. He will now continue his career at Parma, hoping to rebuild momentum in Serie A.
With this loan, Fenerbahçe's management aims to give both the club and the player a fresh start following a short and underwhelming spell in Turkey. Footage shared on Parma's official channels showed Diego Carlos receiving a warm welcome from his new club.
