Fred says goodbye to Fenerbahçe: The Brazilian star, who transferred to Atletico Mineiro, bid farewell to the club

Fred, who wore the Fenerbahçe jersey for three seasons and was recently announced as a new signing for the Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro, held an official farewell with his club before leaving Istanbul. The Brazilian player first visited the Fenerbahçe Can Bartu Facilities, where he met with head coach İsmail Kartal, his teammates, the coaching staff and club personnel.

After the meeting at the facilities, Fred went to the club building, where he said goodbye to President Aziz Yıldırım and board members Mahmut Uslu, Önder Fırat, Tanju Kaya, Yasemin Babayiğit and Ahmet Murat İman, as well as Mehmet İman, a board member of Fenerbahçe Futbol AŞ. President Yıldırım thanked the player, expressed hope that his bond with the club would never be broken, and wished him success in his career.

Expressing his attachment to the club and to Istanbul, Fred said that the three years he spent there with his family were among the most beautiful periods of their lives. The Brazilian footballer, who emphasized that he believed the team would become champions this season, promised to return to Turkey to join the celebrations.

At the end of the meeting, President Yıldırım presented Fred with a commemorative Fenerbahçe jersey numbered 7 along with various gifts. After the farewell ceremony, Fred, along with his family, stepped onto the pitch of Chobani Stadı for the last time and had photos taken as keepsakes.
