Jayden Oosterwolde set to transfer from Fenerbahçe to Roma

Jayden Oosterwolde, who had been in the transfer spotlight at Fenerbahçe for some time, is officially parting ways with the club. The Dutch defender, who agreed terms with Italian club Roma, which had been tracking him for a long time, left Istanbul to finalize the transfer.

Before his departure, Oosterwolde bid farewell to his teammates at the Can Bartu Facilities and also sent a message to the yellow-navy fans. The 25-year-old player stated that he had spent good times at Fenerbahçe, noting that the decision to leave was not his own but that he was also happy about the opportunity at Roma. Oosterwolde said he hoped Fenerbahçe would eliminate Lyon and that they would meet again in the Champions League, asking the fans to continue supporting the team.

According to reports, there is also clarity on the financial details of the transfer; Oosterwolde's contract includes a conditional option that will be triggered if he plays 15 matches. With this option, Fenerbahçe is expected to receive 3 million euros as a loan fee and 15 million euros in transfer revenue. It was reported that the player would leave Turkey in the evening and head to Rome.

Oosterwolde, who joined Fenerbahçe from Parma in January 2023, contributed 3 goals and 1 assist in 112 matches wearing the yellow-navy jersey. The Dutch player, who featured on the left side of defense and as a center-back, won a Turkish Cup and a Süper Kupa title with Fenerbahçe.
