Controversial Red-Card Incident and Trabzonspor Players' Reactions After Loss to Konyaspor

Referee Reşat Onur Coşkunses only showed Deniz Türüç a yellow card for the challenge, and VAR did not intervene in the decision. While Trabzonspor supporters reacted angrily to the call, former referee and respected commentator Mustafa Çulcu also weighed in on the incident. Çulcu argued that the challenge was a clear red card, referencing the well-known football saying about the approach being yellow but the execution being red. Speaking after the match, Trabzonspor forward Sidny Lopes Cabral admitted that his team had not started the game with the intensity they needed. He acknowledged that they began somewhat late and carelessly in the opening minutes, but expressed confidence that the team would perform much stronger and better in the matches ahead.

Trabzonspor's Chibuike Nwaiwu also spoke candidly after the defeat, visibly frustrated with the result.
