Oosterwolde's Roma Move Collapses Over Medical Test Results

Jayden Oosterwolde, who had been left out of Fenerbahçe's squad due to the club's 10+4 foreign player rule, traveled to Italy earlier in the transfer window to finalize a move to Roma. Fenerbahçe and the Serie A side had reportedly agreed on a loan deal with an option to buy for the 25-year-old Dutch defender. The buy option was said to be worth 18 million euros.

However, Oosterwolde's initial medical examination at Roma failed to satisfy the club. Roma's management deemed the results insufficient and requested additional testing before proceeding further. This unexpected complication delayed the completion of the transfer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma ultimately decided to scrap the deal entirely following the extra medical checks. As a result, the move that would have seen the Dutchman join the Italian club for the new season did not materialize.

Following these developments, Oosterwolde is now expected to return to Fenerbahçe. The player's future, which had appeared settled with his departure this summer, is once again uncertain after the collapsed negotiations.
