PFDK bans Fenerbahçe Secretary General Mahmut Uslu for 15 days and fines him 2.5 million TL

The decisions taken at the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee's meeting dated August 20, 2026 were announced. The committee punished Fenerbahçe Secretary General Mahmut Nedim Uslu, who made statements to the media after the Gençlerbirliği-Fenerbahçe match, with a 15-day suspension and a fine of 2,500,000 lira for remarks that damaged the reputation of football and institutions.

At the same meeting, various sanctions were also imposed on several clubs. Galatasaray received a fine of 280,000 TL for failing to comply with the schedule, in addition to a penalty barring spectators from certain stand blocks from entering the next match due to their fans' offensive chants. Their opponent Arca Çorum FK was punished with a warning, a spectator entry ban, and a fine of 280,000 TL for similar reasons, while the club's player Alexandros Kyziridis received a 2-match suspension for a harsh foul on an opposing player.

Trabzonspor faced a warning due to their fans' poor chanting during the away match against Kasımpaşa. The referral against Tümosan Konyaspor over allegations of improperly admitted spectators was closed without punishment, as the elements of a disciplinary violation were not deemed to exist. Gençlerbirliği, meanwhile, received a fine of 150,000 TL for failing to keep staircase gaps clear as the host of the match.

Fenerbahçe was also punished on multiple counts in the same match. The club was fined 75,000 TL for the violation of not keeping staircase gaps clear, and 280,000 TL for incidents on the pitch caused by fans. Additionally, the yellow-navy blue club received a warning due to fans' poor chanting, and Secretary General Uslu's penalty stemmed from his statements following this match.
