TFF Arbitration Board halves Mert Hakan Yandaş's betting ban
The 12-month suspension given to Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş over a betting violation was reduced to 6 months following his appeal.
The TFF Arbitration Board has issued a new decision regarding the betting penalty imposed on Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş. The board halved the 12-month suspension previously handed down by the PFDK for betting activity, reducing it to 6 months.
The statement noted that Mert Hakan Yandaş's appeal against the PFDK's decision dated 30.04.2026 had been reviewed. Following deliberations, it was announced that the 12-month penalty imposed on the player under Article 57/2 of the FDT was unanimously overturned.
The Arbitration Board announced that it decided, by majority vote, to impose a discretionary 6-month suspension on Mert Hakan Yandaş under the same article. As a result, the length of the penalty the player received during the betting investigation process was cut in half.
