Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan responds to Salah claims

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan answered questions regarding the reported interest in Mohamed Salah's transfer to the club. Doğan stated that there is no agreement in this regard and said that no trip has been planned for the Egyptian star to come to Trabzon. Emphasizing that any such development would be immediately announced to fans and the press, the president noted that everyone knows Salah's quality, but no concrete step has been taken so far.

Responding to a reminder about the Aral Şimşir transfer, where a denial was made before the agreement was later announced, Doğan said they sometimes have to make cautious statements to protect the club's interests. The president explained that a high fee had been demanded from the club at the time, which is why they did not take a persistent public stance, calling it a negotiation strategy. He stressed that every word could affect transfer negotiations, requiring careful speech in his role as president.

While acknowledging that fans, like himself, would want to see a player of Salah's quality in the team's jersey, Doğan reiterated that there is currently no official negotiation. The president stated that the team's goal is to compete for the top spots, and that he frequently consults with head coach Fatih Tekke on this matter. Doğan added that they aim for a squad structure blending young and experienced players, that their transfer roadmap is progressing according to a specific plan, and that 2-3 more additions could be made to the squad.
