Trabzonspor loans Göktan Gürpüz to Çorum FK
Trabzonspor has loaned young midfielder Göktan Gürpüz to Çorum FK with a purchase option, while the club is also reportedly planning to part ways with Benjamin Bouchouari to free up its foreign player quota.

Trabzonspor officially announced the loan of 23-year-old midfielder Göktan Gürpüz to Çorum FK through a filing with Turkey's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The club confirmed that the player, who wears the number 10 shirt, will spend the 2026-2027 season with Çorum FK.

The KAP filing also disclosed the financial terms of the deal. According to the statement, Trabzonspor will receive a loan fee of 200,000 euros plus VAT from Çorum FK. The agreement also includes a purchase option worth 2 million euros plus VAT. The club stated that all of Gürpüz's costs for the season will be covered by Çorum FK.

Trabzonspor's transfer activity is not limited to Göktan Gürpüz, however. The club is working to create space in its foreign player quota and is shaping its squad planning based on recommendations from head coach Fatih Tekke. According to reports, Tekke has identified Moroccan midfielder Benjamin Bouchouari, who joined from St. Etienne last season for 4 million euros, as a player to let go.
The 24-year-old Bouchouari failed to meet expectations during his first season at Trabzonspor. Reports indicate that French club Nice has begun talks with Trabzonspor over a possible loan move for the midfielder. Bouchouari himself is said to be open to returning to French football.
