Hungarian representative Ferencvaros, who had won the first leg 1-0, left the away match against Gornik Zabrze with a 1-1 draw, advancing through the round and becoming the play-off rival of the maroon-and-blue side.

According to this result, the first match between Trabzonspor and Ferencvaros will be played on August 20 at Papara Park. The return leg between the two teams will take place on August 27 away in Hungary.

On the Besiktas side, competing in the same competition, the picture is not yet fully clear. The black-and-whites, drawn against Czech side Hradec Kralove, secured an advantage by winning the first leg away 1-0, and are now aiming to book their place in the play-off round with a win or a draw at home. Should their opponent win by a single goal, the match will go to extra time and, if necessary, penalties; a two-goal win for the opponent would send Besiktas into the Conference League instead.

Reportedly, if Besiktas eliminates Hradec Kralove and advances to the play-off round, they will face Lithuanian representative Kauno Zalgiris. Kauno Zalgiris, eliminated by Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League qualifying round after two legs, continues its European journey in the Europa League play-off round.
