Vlahovic signs for Beşiktaş: 'Our goal is the championship'

Beşiktaş held a signing ceremony open to fans at Tüpraş Stadyumu for Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, the club's new acquisition. At the event, watched by thousands of black-and-white supporters, both the club president and the new signing made emotional statements. With the ceremony, Vlahovic officially appeared before the fans in his new Beşiktaş jersey.

President Serdal Adalı stated that they were proud to bring one of Europe's leading strikers to the club, emphasizing that Vlahovic's attitude during the transfer process had also been decisive. Adalı asked the fans to be patient, considering that the team was still in the adaptation phase, and requested their support throughout the season. Expressing his belief that Beşiktaş would be represented worthily both in the Süper Lig and on the European stage, the president invited the fans to stand behind the team in the stands starting from the first match.

Taking the floor, Dusan Vlahovic expressed his satisfaction with the attention shown to him, sharing the excitement he had felt since his welcome at the airport with the fans. Promising to give his all on the pitch in the Beşiktaş jersey, the Serbian star thanked the president, the coaching staff, and club officials who contributed to the transfer. Stating that he was proud to wear the jersey of one of Turkey's most storied clubs, Vlahovic said that the season's biggest goal was the championship.

After his speech, Vlahovic turned to the stands and repeatedly asked the fans if they were ready, conveying through their response the message that they would begin the new season together. Meanwhile, following the signing ceremony, the new signing took part in his first training session with the team under head coach Vincenzo Italiano. As Beşiktaş continues preparations for the Eyüpspor match, they will hold their final training session of the week on Saturday, August 15.
