Beşiktaş issues statement on Vaclav Cerny's injury
Beşiktaş confirmed a strain and edema in Vaclav Cerny's left hamstring after he was substituted against Kocaelispor.

Beşiktaş secured a 2-1 home win over Kocaelispor in matchday 7 of the Süper Lig, but the victory was overshadowed by an injury concern. Czech winger Vaclav Cerny was forced off in the first half after experiencing discomfort and was replaced by İlhan Fakılı.

According to the club's statement, Cerny felt pain in the back of his left thigh in the 30th minute of the match. The player went down and was unable to continue, leading to his substitution shortly afterward.

In an official announcement, the Istanbul club revealed that following an examination and an MRI scan at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, a strain and edema were found in the biceps femoris muscle of his left thigh. The statement added that the medical team had already begun treatment for the player.
Speaking after the match, head coach Italiano addressed Cerny's injury, confirming that the winger would not be available for Thursday's fixture. Italiano stressed that with a demanding run of matches ahead, every player in the squad needs to be ready, making rotation inevitable in the coming weeks.
