Besiktas Slams TFF Over Vlahovic's Disciplinary Referral
Following an argument in the Fenerbahçe derby, Dusan Vlahovic was referred to the disciplinary committee, prompting Besiktas to issue a harsh statement against the Turkish football federation and the broadcaster.

During the 4th week derby between Fenerbahçe and Besiktas in the Trendyol Süper Lig, Dusan Vlahovic became involved in a dispute with an opposing player. The Turkish Football Federation's (TFF) legal department subsequently referred him to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) without precautionary measures, citing Article 41 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations. Besiktas responded swiftly with a strongly worded official statement.

The club argued that the decision was clear evidence of how far Turkish football has strayed from principles of justice and equality. Besiktas pointed out that the opposing player, who allegedly provoked Vlahovic throughout the match through actions and words, faced no disciplinary action whatsoever. According to the club, this outcome is unacceptable and reportedly reflects what they described as the federation's hostile stance toward Besiktas.

The statement also directed sharp criticism at the league's broadcaster. Besiktas questioned whether, if the referral decision was based on broadcast footage, the federation was only shown images of their own player. The club further asked why the VAR system failed to call the referee for review, despite reportedly having the capability to track both players from multiple angles during the incident.
Besiktas accused the broadcaster of violating principles of objective coverage, claiming that only their player was shown on screen while the opposing player's actions were never broadcast. The club announced that it would formally appeal to the relevant authorities in order to protect the rights of both Vlahovic and the club itself.
