Fenerbahçe secured a 2-1 away win over Lyon in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round, sealing their return to the competition's league phase after an 18-year absence. Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Istanbul, neither side held an advantage heading into the return fixture in France. Although Malick Fofana pulled one back for Lyon to make it 2-1, Fenerbahçe held on to seal their progression.
