Galatasaray Reports Bitshiabu's Transfer Cost to Regulator

Galatasaray has officially announced the cost of French defender El-Chadaille Bitshiabu, whom the club acquired on loan from RB Leipzig. According to the club's statement, a loan agreement with a purchase option has been reached, running until the end of the 2026-2027 season. The loan fee was set at 2 million Euros, while the purchase option stands at 28 million Euros and depends on the club's decision to exercise it. The statement also noted that the player will receive a fixed net salary of 2 million Euros for the 2026-2027 season.

According to Turkish Football Federation records, the 21-year-old defender's contract began on September 2, 2026, and will run until June 30, 2027. Following the transfer, Galatasaray issued the player's license and reported the cost details to the Public Disclosure Platform. Born on May 16, 2005, in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, France, Bitshiabu is of Congolese descent. The young player, whose primary position is centre-back, began his career in the ACBB academy before moving to Paris Saint-Germain's youth setup.

At PSG, Bitshiabu progressed through the U17 and U19 squads before eventually earning appearances with the club's first team. Following his spell at RB Leipzig, the young defender is now beginning a new chapter at Galatasaray. Speaking after the signing ceremony, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek emphasized the importance of the transfer for the club and welcomed the young player. Özbek expressed confidence that Bitshiabu would serve the club for many years, wishing him a successful, injury-free season in both the Champions League and the domestic league.

Bitshiabu himself expressed great happiness after signing, thanking the club and the president for the trust placed in him.
