Galatasaray confirm injury diagnosis for Osimhen and Lemina: both suffer groin muscle strains
Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina, injured in the match against Başakşehir, have both been diagnosed with an advanced-to-moderate strain and bleeding in the right groin muscle.

Galatasaray have released the long-awaited medical update on Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina following their injuries in the away match against Başakşehir in the 4th round of the Trendyol Süper Lig. The club confirmed that both players were diagnosed with an advanced-to-moderate strain accompanied by bleeding in the right adductor muscle group. The results came after MRI scans and further examinations at Acıbadem Hospital, and treatment for both players is now underway.

Nigerian striker Osimhen was forced off in the 32nd minute of the Başakşehir clash after picking up the injury. Gabonese midfielder Lemina suffered a similar issue and was substituted at the end of the first half. Notably, both injuries occurred in the same area and are of comparable severity.

According to available information, Victor Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks, while Mario Lemina will be out for two to three weeks. During this period, Galatasaray have three official fixtures scheduled before the international break. The Istanbul side will first face Sporting away in the UEFA Champions League, then host Kocaelispor in the Süper Lig, before travelling once more to face Trabzonspor.
According to reports, Osimhen is expected to miss all three of these matches and return to the squad after the Trabzonspor game. Lemina, meanwhile, is reportedly set to miss the fixtures against Sporting and Kocaelispor. Galatasaray say they will continue to closely monitor both players' recovery and keep the public updated on their progress.
