Galatasaray battles it out against Rennes in a friendly match
Continuing its pre-season preparations, Galatasaray is engaged in a goal-scoring duel against French side Rennes, hosted at RAMS Park.

Aiming for a strong start to the new season in the Trendyol Süper Lig and European competitions, Galatasaray continues its preparation matches without a break. Having returned to Istanbul after its foreign training camp, the yellow-and-red side hosted Ligue 1 club Rennes at home in the season's fourth preparation match.
Taking the field with the lineup set by Okan Buruk, Galatasaray had Uğurcan in goal, while Sallai, Kaan, Abdülkerim and Eren formed the defensive line, with Ugochukwu and Torreira operating in midfield. In the attacking line supported by Sara, Sané and Yunus, Victor Osimhen led the forward line. For visiting Rennes, Belazzoug guarded the goal, with Frankowski, Ait Boudlal, Rouault and Nagida in defense, Thomasson and Szymanski in midfield, and Lepaul up front, supported by Camara, Blas and Nordin.
The match was full of goals. For Galatasaray, Osimhen found the net in the first half, while Sara's goal leveled the score in the second half. However, Rennes' Lepaul struck three times to put his team ahead; as the second half continued, the score stood at Galatasaray 2, Rennes 3.
The match, which kicked off at 21:00 on Sunday, August 2 at RAMS Park, was broadcast live and free-to-air on tv100. Following this friendly, Galatasaray will continue its schedule with a home match against Spanish side Villarreal on Saturday, August 8.
