Galatasaray beat Erzurumspor FK 4-0 away thanks to Osimhen's goal show

In the 2nd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray left Kazım Karabekir Stadium with a dominant 4-0 victory over host Erzurumspor FK. With this result, the yellow-and-reds raised their points tally to 4, while the home side remains without a point.

The match's first goal came in the 12th minute. Following a corner kick taken by Sara and a deflection off goalkeeper Orbanic, Roland Sallai met the ball and put his team ahead. Galatasaray doubled their lead in the 20th minute; capitalizing on a defensive error, Yunus Akgün passed the ball to Victor Osimhen, who had made a run on the left, and the Nigerian striker's cutback was finished by Akgün from close range in front of the goal.

In the final minute of the first half, Osimhen took advantage of a poor back-pass from Yakup Kırtay that goalkeeper Orbanic failed to clear, making it 3-0 and sending the teams into the break with a comfortable lead. Continuing their pressure in the second half, Galatasaray found the net again through Osimhen in the 80th minute; rising well to meet a cross delivered by Sara from the left flank, the star player sent the ball into the net to complete the 4-0 scoreline, putting his stamp on the night.

In the final minutes of the match, goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır denied Cardoso's powerful long-range shot, preventing the margin from growing further in a chance for Erzurumspor. Following this result, Galatasaray will host Göztepe in the league next week, while Erzurumspor FK will travel to face Gençlerbirliği away as they look for their first win.
