Galatasaray Ready for Stuttgart Clash, Buruk Settles on Centre-Back Choice
Galatasaray will host Stuttgart tomorrow at RAMS Park in matchday four of the Champions League, with coach Okan Buruk finalising his centre-back selection.

Galatasaray will welcome German side Stuttgart to RAMS Park tomorrow evening for matchday four of the UEFA Champions League. Kick-off is set for 20:45, with English referee Chris Kavanagh in charge of the match. The Istanbul giants will be seeking a win against an opponent that has already made an impression in the group stage.

In their opening two Champions League fixtures, Galatasaray suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sporting and a 4-1 loss to Barcelona, before bouncing back with a 4-2 victory over Lille. Stuttgart, meanwhile, beat Viking 3-1 and Slovan Bratislava 3-0, before drawing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in their most recent outing. Both teams have shown an attacking approach to their football so far in the competition.

Under coach Okan Buruk, Galatasaray held their final training session ahead of the match at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities. The session opened with warm-up exercises before moving into speed and quickness drills, with players focusing on ball-winning and passing combinations. According to reports, a closed-door tactical rehearsal for the Stuttgart match was also carried out, during which Buruk is said to have made his final decision on the centre-back position.
With no injury concerns, Galatasaray have completed their preparations in full. However, Kaan Ayhan, Kazımcan Karataş, Arda Ünyay, Eyüp Aydın and Can Armando Güner, who were left out of the squad list submitted to UEFA, will not be eligible to play under competition regulations. Their absence was an important factor for Buruk to consider in his squad planning.
During training, club president Dursun Özbek also visited the facility and met with coach Okan Buruk. Accompanied by Galatasaray Sportif AŞ vice-chairman Maruf Güneş, Özbek went down to the pitch, where he was greeted by Buruk and assistant coach İrfan Saraloğlu. After a brief chat with the coaching staff, Özbek also greeted the players before leaving the training ground. The visit was seen as a sign of the importance the club's management places on the Stuttgart match.
