Okan Buruk's transfer promise: 'We will fill our gaps'
Speaking after the 3-3 draw in the friendly match against Rennes, Okan Buruk gave fans a promise of a strong squad.

Galatasaray drew 3-3 with Rennes in a friendly match as part of their preparations for the new season. With this result, the yellow-and-reds were only able to win one of their last four preparation matches. Following the match, head coach Okan Buruk spoke to members of the press.

Buruk stated that they deliberately chose tough opponents during the preparation process, emphasizing that Rennes was also a strong team. The experienced coach said that the squad was not yet one hundred percent ready, so it would not be realistic to expect full performance, but expressed satisfaction with his players' willingness and concentration. He added that the match against Villarreal could be an important benchmark to see the team's true level.

Touching on the transfer issue as well, Buruk clearly stated that everyone within the club shares the common goal of making reinforcements. Buruk said he found it justified that fans wanted to see new names as soon as possible, and that he considered the pressure they were under regarding this to be natural. He noted that they have a quality squad, but that this squad needs to be strengthened further, adding that they are conducting their work with good intentions.
Addressing the fans, Okan Buruk gave assurance that the gaps would be filled and said that no one should have any doubts about this. Stating that they would start the new season strong and put up ambitious performances in the Champions League as well, Buruk promised that they would build a good squad and have a successful season.
