Pape Matar Sarr Joins Juventus on Loan from Tottenham
Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, who had been linked with Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, has moved to Juventus from Tottenham on a loan deal.
The expected announcement has arrived for Pape Matar Sarr in the final days of the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old Senegalese midfielder has left Tottenham Hotspur to join Italian giants Juventus. Previously linked with Turkish clubs Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, the player has ultimately chosen a move to Serie A.
Juventus officially confirmed the transfer through a statement. According to the club, Sarr will remain in Turin on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season. The Italian side will pay Tottenham a loan fee of 2.5 million euros, with an additional cost of around 300,000 euros also included in the agreement.
One of the most notable details of the deal is the buy option attached to it. Should Juventus decide to trigger the clause in the contract, or if certain conditions are met, the club would pay Tottenham a transfer fee of 27.5 million euros to sign the player permanently.
Last season, Sarr made 37 appearances for Tottenham, contributing 2 goals and 4 assists. Known for his consistent performances in midfield, attention will now turn to how he adapts to his new challenge in Serie A.
