Van Bommel confirms Trossard will miss France clash
Belgium coach Mark van Bommel announced that injured Besiktas star Leandro Trossard will not feature in the match against France.

New details have emerged from Belgium's national team camp regarding the injury of Besiktas star Leandro Trossard. National coach Mark van Bommel addressed the player's condition during a press conference. He made it clear that Trossard will not be able to play in the upcoming match against France.
Following his injury, Trossard had been training individually within the national team camp before joining the squad's afternoon session. Having trained separately from the group ahead of the Italy match, he this time worked together with goalkeeper Mike Penders as part of the full squad. However, this development does not mean he will be available for the France fixture.

Van Bommel stated, 'Trossard and Penders won't be ready in time for the France match. Apart from that, we're sticking with the same squad we used against Italy.' This confirmed that both players will be absent while the rest of the squad remains unchanged. Belgium got off to a strong start in UEFA Nations League A Group 1 with an away win over Italy and are now looking to make it two wins from two at home against France.
Trossard had already missed Belgium's match against Italy due to his injury. A similar situation has unfolded at Besiktas, where coach Vincenzo Italiano announced that Trossard was left out of the squad for the Europa League match against Marseille due to pain issues. The Belgian star also failed to feature in the Süper Lig fixture against Amed Sportif Faaliyetler. While his return to training offers some hope for Besiktas fans, it appears he still needs more time before making a full comeback to matches.
