Victor Nelsson Leaves Galatasaray, Signs with Nordsjaelland

Danish defender Victor Nelsson has officially departed from Galatasaray. The Turkish club informed the Turkish Football Federation that the player's contract had been terminated by mutual consent, confirming the news through its official channels. In its statement, the club said: "The contract between our professional footballer Victor Enok Nelsson and our company has been mutually terminated."

Just hours after the contract termination, Nelsson's next destination became clear. Danish side Nordsjaelland announced that they had signed the 27-year-old centre-back to a four-year deal. With this move, Nelsson continues his career back in his home country of Denmark following his spell in the Süper Lig.

Nelsson had joined Galatasaray in 2021 from FC Copenhagen for a transfer fee of 7 million euros. During his time in Istanbul, the defender helped the club win the Süper Lig title twice. Across 144 appearances for Galatasaray, the Dane scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist.

Nelsson's departure is seen as part of Galatasaray's efforts to reshape their defensive lineup ahead of the coming season. It remains to be seen how the club plans to fill the void left by the experienced centre-back.
