Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım made a significant announcement regarding the club's youth development structure during the High Advisory Board Meeting held on August 2nd. Yıldırım revealed that Belgian football figure Chris van Puyvelde would take over the leadership of Fenerbahçe's youth academies starting in January. In his speech at the time, Aziz Yıldırım praised Van Puyvelde extensively. He emphasized that the Belgian expert was instrumental in building the Belgian national team, having helped develop stars such as Lukaku and Hazard. Yıldırım also recalled that Van Puyvelde had previously visited Fenerbahçe in 2018, spending two days presenting his vision for youth development to 25-30 club representatives. The president added that the expert had promised to produce quality players within three to five years.
