Trabzonspor president Doğan: We'll assess every request from coach
Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan outlined the club's winter transfer approach, also commenting on Fabinho and Andre Onana.

Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan spoke during a live broadcast connection on TRT Spor, stressing that the club aims to compete at the top both domestically and in Europe, while also detailing the approach the club plans to take during the upcoming transfer window. He explained that the club's domestic and international scouting teams regularly compile reports, which are then forwarded to head coach Thomas Reis and his staff. According to Doğan, there is continuous feedback between management and the coaching staff, and he urged fans not to worry on this front.
The president stated that every request coming from Thomas Reis for the winter window will be carefully evaluated. However, he pointed out that the phrase 'we will sign' is sometimes misunderstood, since any transfer also requires the selling club's willingness to let a player go. Doğan acknowledged that winter transfers are never straightforward, but insisted that Trabzonspor will clearly communicate its demands and push hard on negotiating terms. He promised that the club would do everything within its power to strengthen the squad.
According to Doğan, the club intends to sign players capable of taking the team to the top, and management already has certain names in mind. He made clear, though, that no player would be named publicly without Thomas Reis's approval. Other candidates have also been proposed to the coaching staff, the president added. He emphasized that squad harmony remains a key priority and that the club does not want to disrupt a system that is currently working well.
As an example, Doğan referenced the signing of Fabinho, noting that the transfer seems to have been somewhat overlooked despite its significance. He pointed out that the Brazilian featured for his national team at the most recent World Cup and possesses a strong character, though he is not yet at his best and is expected to keep improving. Doğan offered a similar assessment of Andre Onana, placing him in the same category as Fabinho.
