Trabzonspor reports net debt of 2.9 billion lira
Trabzonspor disclosed in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that its net debt stood at 2.9 billion Turkish lira as of August 31, 2026.

Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği Ticaret A.Ş. released its financial statements for the period of June 1 to August 31, 2026 through Turkey's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The club announced that its net debt as of August 31, 2026 stood at 2.9 billion Turkish lira. This represents a decrease of roughly 2 billion lira compared to the previously reported debt figure of 4.9 billion lira.
The statement also detailed how the net debt figure was calculated. According to the club, current assets worth 6.7 billion lira were subtracted from the total of short- and long-term liabilities. Additionally, an expropriation receivable of 2.6 billion lira, which belongs to Trabzonspor but does not appear in the consolidated financial statements of Sportif A.Ş., was factored into the calculation. On top of that, 1.8 billion lira in items stemming from inflation accounting, which do not generate any actual cash outflow, were also taken into account.
The club specifically highlighted that the publicly known expropriation receivable of 4.9 billion lira was deducted from total liabilities. This means the receivable is directly reflected in the net debt calculation. Trabzonspor also noted that all transfer fee debts accrued up to the reporting date, including all future payment amounts, have been fully incorporated into the current debt figure.
This financial disclosure drew close attention from both fans and the wider public. In line with the principle of transparency, Trabzonspor's management continues to regularly share its financial statements through KAP. The reduction in the club's debt is seen as significant for its future transfer activity and budget planning.
