Galatasaray's Torreira forced off injured against Barcelona
Galatasaray's Lucas Torreira was forced off injured during the Champions League clash against Barcelona.
In the second matchday of the UEFA Champions League, Galatasaray hosted Spanish side Barcelona at RAMS Park. Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira had to leave the pitch due to injury during the second half.
The medical team came on in the 78th minute to treat Torreira. The Uruguayan tried to continue after initial treatment, but the injury did not improve.
Torreira went down again in the 80th minute and was unable to carry on. To avoid further risk, the coaching staff decided to make a substitution.
Renato Nhaga replaced Lucas Torreira in the 81st minute. Galatasaray are now awaiting further medical examinations to determine the extent of the injury.
